Marquette Castings is breaking into the cookware scene in a big way. Their finely handcrafted cast iron is made using an intensive process that leads to a lightweight, durable, and superior product. Whether choosing from their preseasoned cast iron, or enameled cookware, you can't go wrong. Upon picking up the 10.5" skillet I was immediately impressed. It is lightweight compared with other traditional brands, but still has a nice heft. It comes preseasoned so you can start using it immediately without spending hours getting it right. They use a flax seed oil that results in a great cooking surface. They even coat it four times before you ever cook on it. I absolutely love the handle on the skillet. It is long, and curved wonderfully so your wrist isn't strained while cooking. This makes sauteing vegetables a simple task. The Enamel Cast Iron Dutch Oven is sure to give the high end brands a run for their money. It is an ideal vessel for your one-pot cooking. Vegetables sweat quickly and evenly, creating the base for stews, pot roast, chicken dishes, and so much more. I was impressed with how quickly it heated and food cooked evenly every time. When you learn more about the process used for making this cookware, it is easy to see why it is so wonderful to use.  It is called Investment (or lost wax) casting and the result is a thin, light, and smooth product. It is a time-consuming process, but it is worth it for a final product like these ones made by Marquette Castings!
